No os engañéis, Dios no se burla;
porque todo lo que el hombre sembrare, eso también segará. (Gálatas 6:7)// Do

reap. (Galatians 6:7)
Cuando leemos la Biblia, es importante tener en cuenta el contexto. Si Gálatas 6:7 se tomara como una afirmación absoluta, algo siempre cierto en todos los casos, entonces nadie iría al cielo y la Biblia se contradeciría a sí misma. No se trata de una ley del karma ni del principio de atracción; es una afirmación verdadera en su contexto, considerando lo que viene antes y después del versículo.
When we read the Bible, it’s
important to consider context. If Galatians 6:7 were taken as an absolute
statement, something always true in every case, then no one would go to heaven
and the Bible would contradict itself. This isn’t a law of karma or the
principle of attraction; this is a true statement in its context, considering
what comes before and after the verse.
En el versículo anterior (Gálatas 6:6), Pablo dijo a los
creyentes que apoyaran a los que les enseñan en la fe, que "compartieran con ellos
todos los bienes". Este es un principio espiritual básico, aunque
a veces descuidado. Aquellos que alimentan y bendicen espiritualmente a los
creyentes deben ser apoyados materialmente (1 Corintios
9:11, 9:14, 1 Timoteo 5:17).
In the verse before (Galatians
6:6), Paul told believers to support those who teach them in the faith, to “share
in all good things” with them. This is a basic, though sometimes neglected
spiritual principle. Those who feed and bless believers spiritually should be
supported materially (1 Corinthians 9:11, 9:14, 1 Timothy 5:17).
Por eso, a quienes dudan en "compartir todo lo bueno" (Gálatas 6:6) con quienes les enseñan, Pablo les recordó el principio divino de sembrar y cosechar. Su donación no sería como tirar el dinero; sería como plantar semillas, y todo lo que un hombre siembra, eso también cosechará. El punto principal de Pablo no era que el pueblo de Dios debe apoyar a los que les enseñan porque es bueno para el maestro. Más bien, deben ser apoyados porque es bueno para el que es enseñado y comparte, mostrado por el principio de cosechar y sembrar.
Therefore, for those who are
hesitant to “share in all good things” (Galatians 6:6) with those who teach
them, Paul reminded them of God’s principle of sowing and reaping. Their giving
would not be like throwing away money; it would be like planting seeds, and
whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. Paul’s main point was not that God’s
people should support those who teach them because it is good for the teacher.
Rather, they should be supported because it is good for the one who is taught
and shares, shown by the principle of reaping and sowing.
Esto queda más claro si consideramos el versículo que sigue a Gálatas 6:7. Allí, Pablo escribió sobre la siembra para la carne y la siembra para el Espíritu, y la cosecha obtenida por cada tipo de siembra. Si los creyentes quieren cosechar para el Espíritu, no deben dudar en sembrar para el Espíritu con cualquier recurso que Dios les dé.
This is clearer when we consider
the verse after Galatians 6:7. There, Paul wrote of sowing to the flesh and
sowing to the Spirit, and the harvest gained by each kind of sowing. If
believers want to reap to the Spirit, they should not hesitate to sow to the
Spirit with whatever resources God gives them.
El agricultor cosecha lo mismo que ha sembrado, pero no exactamente. La semilla de manzana no sólo produce más semillas de manzana, sino más manzanas que contienen semillas. Del mismo modo, cuando sembramos para el Espíritu -incluso con cosas materiales- lo que cosechamos no son necesariamente cosas materiales, sino algo mejor: cosechamos vida eterna (Gálatas 6:8). No damos como una burda "inversión" o un plan para ganar dinero, aunque los creyentes confían en que nunca saldrán perdiendo por dar.
The farmer reaps the same as he
has sown, but not exactly. The apple seed doesn’t merely grow more apple seeds,
but more apples containing seeds. Even so, when we sow to the Spirit – even
with material things – what we reap is not necessarily material things, but
something better: we reap everlasting life (Galatians 6:8). We don’t give as a
crude “investment” or money-making scheme, though believers are confident they
will never be the loser for giving.
En su contexto, la afirmación de
que todo lo que un hombre siembra, eso también cosechará tiene aplicación más
allá de dar y apoyar a maestros y ministros. Se aplica en general: lo que
obtenemos de la vida es a menudo lo que ponemos. Sin embargo, si sólo las
personas buenas recibieran cosas buenas de Dios, todos pereceríamos, porque
todos han pecado y están destituidos de la gloria de Dios. Aquí, Pablo simplemente
relaciona el principio de la siembra y la cosecha con la forma en que se
gestionan los recursos (como en 1
Corintios 9:11 y 2 Corintios 9:6-10).
In context, the statement whatever a man sows,
that he will also reap has application beyond giving and supporting teachers
and ministers. It applies generally: what we get out of life is often what we
put in. Yet, if only good people received good things from God, then we would
all perish – because all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Here, Paul
simply relates the principle of sowing and reaping to the way resources are
managed (as in 1 Corinthians 9:11 and 2 Corinthians 9:6-10).
Podemos engañarnos a nosotros
mismos esperando mucho cuando sembramos poco, pero no podemos engañar a Dios y
los resultados de nuestra mala siembra serán evidentes. Cuando administres lo

expecting much when we sow little, but we cannot fool God and the results of
our poor sowing will be evident. When managing what God gives to you, sow
